Storytelling cuentos para leer y escuchar

Los alumnos de 6° trabajaron firmemente en la elaboración de historias que luego narraron a los alumnos de primer ciclo.

Para ello utilizaron la herramienta Storyjumper que les permitía elegir los dibujos, escribir el texto, y luego grabar los audios contando la historia.

¡Y luego llegó el día donde tuvieron que exponer sus trabajos! Allí comprobaron la importancia de la entonación y generar un clima de atención. ¡Todos aprendimos y disfrutamos!

4th B worked really hard for the "Reading for pleasure" project. Awesome!!!!!

Marshmallow Challenge

The task is simple: in eighteen minutes, teams must build the tallest free-standing structure out of 20 sticks of spaghetti, one yard of tape, one yard of string, and one marshmallow. The marshmallow needs to be on top.

Surprising lessons emerge when you compare teams’ performance. Who tends to do the worst? Why? Who tends to do the best? Why? What improves performance? What kills it?

If you need to kickstart a meeting, get a team into a creative frame of mind, or simply want to encourage your organization to think about what it takes to dramatically increase innovation, invest 45 minutes to run a marshmallow challenge.

During 1st.Century Skills Class, 6th. Year Students performed the Challenge. It was a rewarding experience not only for me as their teacher, but also for them. Enjoy the pictures we took while the challenge took place!

IGCSE Examinations

These weeks our 4th and 5th Year students are sitting for their IGCSE examinations. During those two years they prepare and sit for 7 subjects from 5 different areas. This enables them to receive the International Certificate of Education from Cambridge university. All students prepare these subjects and achieve the necessary skills for these exams. Critical thinking, weighing evidence and personal response are just some of these skills.

It is very satisfying to see the way our students are facing these hours of revision and of concentration . We wish them all the very best!

Esta revista digital es el trabajo realizado por el grupo de alumnos de 3er año  del Colegio para la materia English Language. 

Utilizamos el tema Pokeman Go por ser controversial, actual y asombroso en muchos aspectos.

Los alumnos trabajaron en grupos, cambiando de compañero en cada tema. Cada alumno trabajó entre 4 a 7 temas de distintos niveles de dificultad.

Fourth Year has created mind maps showing the events of the invasion of the Ruhr in the Weimar Republic. They went over them with their classmates in a informal learning environment. This helped revise and clear all remaining doubts.

Simple Past

On our last day before Spring break 3rd forms prepared board games in groups where kids had to solve problems using Simple Past. It was real fun!!

El Cross

El Cross, o el Cross Grading es un actividad dedicada a  fomentar el enriquecimiento curricular y el desarrollo individual de los alumnos. Consiste en crear un espacio para que los alumnos con talentos puedan desarrollar sus potencialidades y profundizar sus intereses. Para que el enriquecimiento intelectual sea mayor, los grupos de Cross Grading están formados por alumnos de distintos grados.

Ya estamos listos para mostrarle a nuestras familias cómo funcionan los robots que armamos y programamos en el Cross de Robótica con nuestro Prof Pablo.

Para fomentar un clima creativo en nuestro cross: "Inventando juguetes" creamos entre todos mandalas. Y comenzamos a pensar nuestro invento.

Making mistakes is important to our progress and development. Since childhood, we learn by trial and error. Mistakes are a valuable asset for they teach us what we have still to master and where to focus our practice.

We congratulate Morena for her youngful wisdom and thank her for sharing her ideas.

No matter how bright we are, how hard we try, we will always make some mistakes.  It is the students that run the risk of making mistakes that are the highest achievers.   There is a small mistake in this text. Can you find it?

Round Table Discussions in History

Long Discussions during the negociations of the Treaty of Versailles. Should Germany pay reparations? Must it be blamed for starting the war?

Some countries were just out to protect their own interests.  With Mateo as chairman, 4th year  acted out as spokepeople for the main countries involved.
